How to use QR Codes?
QR Codes are 2D barcode, invented in Japan in the 90s, composed of small black and white squares. They allow you to link a content from the internet on a traditional media: magazine, poster, flyer, postcard, etc… They are able to store more information than a 1D barcode.
How to read a QR Code?
To use them, you must carry a smartphone or a camera phone and an application for barcodes recognition. Then, you just have to scan the QR code to view its contents.
We recommend MobileTag which is a free app available for iPhone, Android, Blackberry, Windows Mobile and Nokia.
You can download it from your mobile thanks to this link : m.mobiletag.com
The different uses of the QR Code
Today you can mainly find them in magazines and posters for marketing purposes. For instance, thanks to Qr Codes you can dial a phone number automatically, display your location on a map, open an audio file or “like” a Facebook page. However they are increasingly used in our daily lives and sometimes in a very creative way. Having QR Codes on several medias allows you to be where your community is.
Kontest and the QR Codes
It makes sense for us to offer a QR code to promote your contest. Once your competition is created, you can find a barcode generated automatically allowing you to diffuse it as you like.
Try it on your mobile phone 😉
