New feature on Facebook : Facebook Questions

Facebook just launched a new feature: Facebook questions. We had vaguely heard of it when profile pages have been changed in january. Then nothing until today.

This feature is not yet available to everybody, you simply need to visit the dedicated page to activate it : http://www.facebook.com/questions/. Note that your Facebook has to be set in English to enable it. Moreover, this feature will be gradually available to all users.

Facebook Questions will allow you to ask a question directly on your wall or that of the Fan page you administer. You can gather opinions of your friends or your fans on a specific topic. It is also possible to conduct a survey for which you offer several choices of answers. You can even allow your contacts to provide additional response options. These response options can also redirect to fan pages fan if you want.

This new feature will allow you to better know opinions of your friends as well as the aspirations and expectations of the fans of your page. In addition, this tool can be a virality factor: if one of your friends or fans answer your question, their contacts will also be able to see and participate in this animation.
